We'll Be Back!

We are still very dedicated to this project but have had to put it on hiatus while we seek funding to keep it going. We will definitely be back and we even hope to soon present a Comedy Correspondent live show.
Thanks for your intersest and support so far and in the future.

More coming, we promise

The first three Comedy Correspondents were a pilot of sorts. We've got a few meetings to attend and we'll have news soon of what's next for us. In the meanwhile we are recording and will have a new CC up soon. In fact, exciting stuff, we had the opportunity to tape a show featuring the king of topical comedy, Will Durst and I had the pleasure of opening the show for him as well.

We also have some web only content coming, such as a quick interview with Marc Maron on the subject of topical material which he often opts not to do. So, stick with us and we'll keep bringing you the relevant funnies.

Hasan Minhaj talks with Comedy Correspondent

This is the first of what will hopefully be many video interviews with comics on the site. Be patient with us as we get the hang of this. I thought it would be fun to do this one with all the noise and chaos after a show, but I think it's TOO noisy.
At any rate Hasan is a fantastic comic and a great guy. Be sure to check out his website www.HasanMinhaj.com

Working on Episodes 2 and 3

We headed back to Punchline SF for their amazing Sunday Showcase. This will always be a reliable place for us to find top notch intelligent comedians plying their trade. We got great clips from Bartatunde Thurston, W. Kamau Bell, Edwin Li and Nato Green for our second installment which will be up later this week.
For the third installment we have a clip of Samson Koletkar taken from a fantastic set he had in Toronto Canada.
If we can't get out to record you, we will happily consider clips that are submitted to us. Are you kidding? Let you do the work for us! Absolutely.
Looking forward to getting both of these shows to you.

Comedy Correspondent Debut Episode

Here it is, a nice tidy three and a half minute bit of comedy perfect for livening up your radio show. What, you don't have a radio show? That's okay, contact your favorite public radio station, tell them you'd like them to feature our weekly segment Or drop us a line, and we'll contact them.
It is being heard today on KXJZ's Off Air. You can hear it right now just by hitting play below.

Features Jason Wheeler, Red Scott and Greg Edwards. Click here for more on the comics.

Meet The Comics

For our premier episode we went to the Sunday showcase at Punchline San Francisco. This legendary show can't be beat for seeing the best comics in Northern CA and great touring comics as well. Click on the name of any of the comics below to visit their Facebook page.

Greg Edwards

Greg Edwards is always edgy and even his riff on something as seemingly innocuous as Toyota's recent troubles ends up being the clip that will probably keep a few of the more sensitive radio shows from wanting anything to do with us. We love you for it Greg. Might as well get it out right at the top, let 'em know where we're coming from.

Greg performs in Bay Area clubs almost nightly. Get out and see him would ya.

Red Wagner Scott

We caught Red on his first time going up at Punchline's Sunday and he killed it (that means he did good mom).
Jason Wheeler

Fearless San Francisco Bay Area comic Jason Wheeler combines social critique and story telling beautifully and hilariously. He is one of a kind and so long as the x-ray tech doesn't kill him we hope he'll be a regular here on comedy correspondent.

Comedy Correspondent

Hi. This is it. It all starts here, well, it all started when we packed some recording gear and started haunting comedy clubs. We picked the best topical bits, edited and now you're caught up. That brings us to... here. Not much to look at yet, but it will be. It'll be lots to look at and lots to listen to as our radio segment featuring funny folks reflecting on the news makes it debut this week on KXJZ's "Off Air" with Nick Brunner.
The segment is available to any and all public radio stations and we're in talks with a couple of 'em. We'll update you here as project "Take over the world" gets underway.
We'll also provide you with links to the websites, facebook pages and sexy webcams of the comedians we feature on our show, so check back often.
